Maruti Suzuki Brezza : Maruti Suzuki has introduced a completely redesigned version of the Brezza compact SUV, signifying a substantial leap in design sophistication and upscale features, all while retaining the practicality that has made this model a top seller.

The updated Brezza now boasts a more bold exterior, luxurious interior features, and technology typically associated with more expensive segments—indicating Maruti’s aim to reposition this popular model as a more desirable choice.

One of the most noticeable changes is the extensively revamped exterior of the Brezza.

The front end showcases a wider and more striking grille with elaborate chrome detailing that integrates seamlessly into the newly designed LED projector headlights.

These lighting fixtures feature crystal-like LED daytime running lights, providing a distinctive light signature that immediately sets the new model apart from its predecessor.

“Our goal was to create a vehicle with an authentic road presence,” shared Takuya Hashimoto, Chief Designer at Maruti Suzuki.

“Today’s Brezza customer has evolved, and so have their expectations. They want their vehicle to make a statement, not just serve as a means of transport.”

From the side view, the Brezza flaunts more accentuated wheel arches that house newly designed 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while its strong character lines create a beautiful interplay of light and shadow, adding to its visual appeal.

The floating roof design, available in contrasting colors, enhances the premium feel and offers more personalization options than ever before.

At the back end, connected LED taillights stretch across the tailgate, providing a broader visual impact and ensuring that the Brezza remains easily identifiable at night.

A newly designed bumper with a silver skid plate introduces a rugged element while maintaining the vehicle’s sophisticated demeanor.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Cabin Experience That Exceeds Expectations

The changes to the interior are even more impressive, featuring materials and amenities that challenge traditional views about Maruti Suzuki’s market position.

The dashboard sports a layered design enriched with soft-touch materials, contrasting stitching, and tasteful applications of piano black and brushed aluminum accents.

At its heart lies a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless integration for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

This system manages an Arkamys-tuned audio setup, equipped with six strategically placed speakers optimized for sound quality.

“The improvement in cabin ambiance is astonishing compared to the previous model,” remarked automotive journalist Vikram Mehta.

“The quality of materials, fit and finish, and meticulous attention to detail all signify a real upgrade, not only for the Brezza but for the entire segment.”

Luxury features extend to customizable ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery with contrasting stitching, ventilated front seats, and a wireless charging pad equipped with a cooling function—amenities previously unseen in this vehicle category.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Feature Set That Challenges Premium Competitors

The Brezza also comes loaded with an extensive array of features that can easily compete with those offered in higher-tier models:

  • Electric sunroof featuring tilt and slide functionality
  • A 360-degree camera system providing various viewing angles
  • Head-up display that provides crucial information right in the driver’s line of sight
  • Automatic climate control system equipped with rear AC vents
  • Push-button start with smart keyless entry
  • Cruise control featuring a speed limiter
  • Cooled glovebox and various storage compartments

The safety package also receives notable upgrades, including six airbags, an electronic stability program, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors, which are now standard on most variants.

Higher trims add advanced features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert—driver assistance technologies rarely found in this segment.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Refined Powertrain Options

Beneath the hood, the Brezza continues to utilize Maruti’s well-regarded 1.5-liter K-series engine, now enhanced with dual variable valve timing and an integrated starter generator, aimed at boosting efficiency.

This mild-hybrid setup offers a claimed fuel economy of 19.8 km/l for manual variants and 19.4 km/l for automatics—impressive figures considering its added features.

The engine generates 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, managed through either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic equipped with paddle shifters.

The latter represents an upgrade from the earlier 4-speed transmission, enhancing highway performance and offering better responsiveness during overtaking.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Market Positioning

With prices ranging from ₹7.99 lakh to ₹13.96 lakh (ex-showroom), the newer model of the Brezza is positioned as a premium option in the compact SUV market.

While this marks an increase over the previous model’s pricing, Maruti Suzuki contends that the significantly upgraded design and feature enhancements justify this repositioning.

“The compact SUV segment has evolved tremendously,” notes industry analyst Priya Sharma.

“Early adopters of the original Brezza are now looking to upgrade and are seeking more sophistication without having to opt for a larger vehicle. Maruti has tailored this update to meet that changing demand.”

Early market response seems to affirm this approach, with bookings surpassing 45,000 units within the first two weeks post-launch.

In order to accommodate this demand, production capacity has been expanded at Maruti’s manufacturing facility, with current waiting times ranging from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the variant and color choice.
